Summary

You can play LovDoku without signing up. If you create an account, we keep your email and your results to track your streak and statistics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your data.

What data we process

• Game progress, language and colour theme. Stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so you can continue where you left off. It does not leave your device. You can delete it from your browser settings.
• Account. If you sign up: your email and your password (stored encrypted, never in plain text). We use them to let you sign in, to write to you about your account and, unless you turn it off, to send you news (see below). Legal basis: the contract for using the service.
• Sign in with Google or Apple. If you choose to sign in with your Google or Apple account, they confirm your email to us (with Apple you can use a hidden address that forwards to yours). We do not receive your password or other profile data. Legal basis: the contract for using the service.
• News emails. If you create an account, we occasionally email you about LovDoku: new cases, game and book news. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link; you can also turn them off in «My account». Legal basis: our relationship with you as a registered user, about LovDoku products similar to the ones you already use.
• Results of the daily cases. Which cases you open, how many hints you ask for, whether you solve them and how long it takes. They are used for your streak, your statistics and the comparison with other players, which is always shown aggregated and anonymous. If you play without an account they are linked to a random browser identifier; if you sign up later, they move to your account.
• Technical cookies. We use two cookies that the game needs to work: lov_a, a random identifier to know which daily cases you played without an account, and lov_s, which keeps you signed in. As technical cookies they do not need your consent. There are no advertising or third-party cookies.
• Anonymous usage statistics. We count visits with our own system, on our server, without cookies and without third-party services such as Google Analytics: which pages and cases are opened, in which language, from which country, from which kind of device and from which website you arrive. So as not to count the same person twice in a day we use a code that changes every day and cannot tell who you are; we do not store your IP address.
• Server logs. Like any website, our server technically records each visit (IP address, date, page requested) for operation and security. These logs are deleted automatically after a short time.
• LovDoku+ payments. If you subscribe on the website, the payment is handled by our authorised reseller (merchant of record), which receives your email, payment details and country and acts as controller of that data under its own privacy policy. We never see your card: we only receive the subscription status (active, trial, cancelled or expired) and the link to manage it. If you subscribe in the app, the payment is handled by Apple or Google, and we use RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) to know whether the subscription is active; RevenueCat receives an identifier of your account, not your email. Legal basis: the subscription contract. These companies may process data outside the European Union with the safeguards the law provides (standard contractual clauses).
• Fonts. The website's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When this happens your browser connects to Google servers, which receive your IP address. More information in Google's privacy policy.

Where the data is

We keep the data while you have the account. If you ask us to delete it, we erase your email and your results within 30 days at most.

The website, accounts and statistics are hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (European Union).

Children

LovDoku is meant to be played from age 7, and can be played without an account. To create an account you must be at least 14 or have permission from your mother, father or guardian.

Your rights

Write to info@myaicorp.com to access, correct or delete your data, or with any other privacy question. If you live in the European Union, you can also complain to the data protection authority of your country.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its date.
